Institute of Process Engineering
The Institute of Process Engineering conducts scientific and research activities focused on the theoretical and practical solution of fundamental and application-oriented research problems related to the management and utilisation of renewable energy sources, the control of thermal processes, and the optimisation of fuel combustion in stationary heat-generation systems. The institute also conducts research into hybrid composite material structures and their applications, with the aim of enhancing the functional properties and performance of gear and belt transmissions. In the field of education, the Institute focuses on developing students’ knowledge and practical skills in SMART solutions for thermal energy processes, particularly those based on renewable energy sources. Its educational activities also cover the design of mechanical equipment and the operation of technical systems, measurement and evaluation of operating conditions, as well as the reliability, quality, diagnostics, maintenance, and servicing of technical equipment. The Process Engineering study programme is offered at all three cycles of higher education: Bachelor’s, Engineering, and Doctoral.
