Institute of Industrial Engineering

The primary objective of the Institute of Industrial Engineering is to support the faculty in implementing the Industry 4.0 concept and in strengthening its position as a leading institution developing innovative Factory of the Future concepts. The Institute’s research activities focus primarily on the modelling, simulation, control, and optimisation of manufacturing processes and their components, including the use of computational intelligence techniques. In the field of education, the Institute provides instruction in management, information technology, cybernetics, and natural science disciplines across all three cycles of higher education.

Katedra priemyselnej informatiky a aplikovanej matematiky je moderným pracoviskom, kde sa spája odborný výskum s praxou a inovatívnym vzdelávaním v oblasti priemyselnej informatiky. Zameriavame sa na smart technológie, umelú inteligenciu, digitalizáciu a tvorbu digitálnych dvojčiat, ktoré menia spôsob riadenia a optimalizácie výrobných procesov. Študentom ponúkame prístup k špičkovým laboratóriám a projektom, v ktorých si môžu vyskúšať technológie Priemyslu 4.0 a 5.0 na reálnych úlohách. Naším cieľom je pripraviť absolventov, ktorí budú nielen odborníkmi vo svojom odbore, ale aj aktívnymi tvorcami digitálnej budúcnosti priemyslu.
