History
The establishment of the faculty and its first years of operation were characterised by a particularly dynamic and challenging period. The faculty’s management and staff as well as its first students were required to demonstrate its potential and long-term viability, thereby ensuring its continued development and existence. Despite the demanding circumstances including a proposal for the faculty’s dissolution, no one gave up. Their collective efforts were ultimately rewarded on 15 April 1996 when the institution was transformed into a fully-fledged faculty offering engineering-level studies and was granted a new name:
Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of the Technical University of Košice with a seat in Presov (FVT TUKE)
To commemorate the significant 25th anniversary of the establishment of the faculty, a publication was prepared providing a more detailed account of the faculty’s establishment and development. The publication contains numerous historical photographs and archival documents.
Through this publication, we would like to share these cherished memories and express our gratitude to all former and current members of the faculty’s staff and student community.
